Between the Lines
Summary:
Delilah is a freshman who just wants to fit in, and be noticed for a "nice, cool" girl. Although characters in books cannot talk to you and are not real, why does a little kids fairytale book attract her so much? Exspecially the main character, prince Oliver. She starts to interact and connect to Oliver , who seems to be talking to her, and who wants help to get out of the story/book. Through their trial and error to get Oliver out of the book; they develop a love for each other they cannot give up on.
Memorable Moment:
I liked that idea. I liked thinking that whatever Delilah and I had between us was so strong that there was no boundary between the true and the imagined, the book and the reader. I liked the idea that although I started my life as a fignent of someone's imagination, that didn't make me any less real.
Recommendation of who should read this book and why:
I think anyone thirteen and older should read this book. It does have a " happy ending" feel to it but one that I think only teenagers and up would understand.
Book Rating:
I would rate this book a four out of five stars. I rated it a four because it was very interesting and romantic but it was an easy read and I could almost predict the ending.
MLA7 Citation for the Book:
Picoult, Jodi, and Samantha Van. Leer. Between the Lines. New
York: Simon Pulse/Emily Bestler /Atria, 2012. Print.
